At just 14 years old, freshman Aron Bangurah has gone into the world of tennis, despite being brand new to the sport this year. While he is still learning, his determination is already impacting his high school team.
“I was the only freshman on the team, the rest of them were juniors and seniors,” said Bangurah.
Though Bangurah is still a work in progress, he has the determination to get better after the season. He and his teammates practice four days a week while also helping each other improve, and he will continue to take advice from teammates and coaches to enhance his game.
Bangurah may not have been dominating the court this year, but his effort and growth will show next year.
“Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard,” said Bangurah.
As he continues to get better, Bangurah’s path in tennis is just beginning. With his hardworking mind, he is bound to achieve his goals.
“This season was a learning experience for me. Being the only lowerclassmen. I’ve gotten better on and off the court. The season went by very fast, but I’m proud of how much I’ve improved,” said Bangurah.
