Tyler, the Creator returns after a three-year hiatus to release his new album named “Chromakopia.” Fans speculated facts about the album such as who would be featured after Tyler released the first music video, “St. Chroma.” Background vocals caused fans on TikTok, Instagram, and X to speculate that artists Frank Ocean or Daniel Caesar would be on the album.
When Neyat Woldeghiorghis (12) was asked what her first impression of the album was, she stated: “I think it’s really good. I’ve been enjoying it so far. Again, haven’t finished the whole thing yet, but so far, I really liked it.”
Tyler, the Creator’s promotion of the “Chromakopia” album, led to incidents of vandalism last week. On Oct. 23 in Phoenix, AZ, a green “Chromakopia” truck was defaced with graffiti in a TikTok video by Tamaljny55x. On the same day, in another TikTok video, a fan is treated for injuries by paramedics after falling on the truck’s bed. Another “Chromakopia” green truck is currently in Philadelphia, PA. The trucks are promoting the new album across the country, starting in Texas. These trucks can be tracked on the “Chromakopia” website.
The “Chromakopia” music video and website have not only promoted the release of his album but also his upcoming world tour with Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, set to start on Feb. 4, 2025. Presale is open this week from Oct. 29 – Oct. 31.
Yesterday, Tyler, the Creator hosted a listening event for the new album in Inglewood, CA at the Intuit Dome. Tickets were $5 and fans rushed to buy the pre-sale tickets and merch box sets online.
