Lilia Perez, is a freshman with a passion for exploring new opportunities, so she eagerly joined Del Mar’s newly established journalism class. Lilia has played volleyball since middle school and now competes as an outside hitter for Del Mar’s frosh team. Beyond sports, she enjoys running in fundraising races with her mom. Lilia takes pride in her strong academic performance in middle school and while she’s a bit nervous about high school, she’s also excited for what lies ahead. Her current focus is staying out of drama and maintaining her grades, but has big dreams for the future. Inspired by movies and a desire to help families, Lilia hopes to become a neonatal intensive care nurse, dedicated to caring for premature babies.
