Ollie McPhail, a senior who uses the pronouns he/they, joined Media Studies because they find joy in writing stories and essays. Ollie is a fan of DND (Dungeons and Dragons), theater, movies, and anime. Preparing for the future, Ollie plans to major in psychology and possibly be a therapist to help people speak and solve their problems.

Bella Gorman, a freshman, is an avid reader, and enjoys getting lost in the many worlds books have to offer. She is looking forward to her next few years in high school, and beyond, aspiring to attend UCSD’s prestigious marine biology program. Bella is also a DC fanatic, and enjoys watching shows like Arrow and Supergirl. Drawing inspiration from both her mom and the journalist Iris West from The Flash, she has dreamed of being in journalism since she was little. As she becomes a part of The Dispatch, she hopes to further her writing skills and help build Del Mar’s sense of community.
